Sir John Abdy, 3rd Bt.1 
He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Abdy, of Albyns [in Stapleford Abbots], Essex [E., 1660] in 1691.1 He matriculated at Trinity College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG, on 4 August 1705.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Essex between 1727 and 1748.1 He was appointed Fellow, Society of Antiquaries (F.S.A.)1
He was described as ” a Great Antiquarian and and a true Patriot.”1
