     Grace Julia Young was born circa 1821 at Heathfield, Sussex, England.¹ She married Reverend Philip Carlyon, son of Reverend Philip Carlyon and Mary Phear, in June 1845 at Banchory-Ternan, Kincardineshire, Scotland.¹ She died in 1905 at Falmouth, Cornwall, England.¹
     From June 1845, her married name became Carlyon.¹

     Reverend Philip Carlyon was born on 15 May 1769.¹ He was the son of Reverend John Carlyon and Mary Winstanley.¹ He married Mary Phear on 27 October 1808 at Brattan, Clovelley, Devon, England.¹ He died on 21 March 1846 at age 76.¹ He was buried on 26 March 1846 at Mawgan, Pydar, Cornwall, England.¹
