     Margaret Gillespie is the daughter of Clements Gillespie.² She married Robert Macan, son of Thomas Macan and Anne Turner, on 18 November 1799.²
     From 18 November 1799, her married name became Macan.¹

     Margaretta Lucy Lind was baptised on 6 January 1819 at Calcutta, India.² She was the daughter of Alexander Francis Lind and Anna Maria Macan.¹ She married William Tydd Taylor, son of John Taylor and Harriet Bunbury, on 28 July 1839 at Monifieth, Angus, Scotland^G.¹
     From 28 July 1839, her married name became Taylor.¹

     Sir William Leslie, 3rd Bt. is the son of John Leslie, 5th of Wardis and Jane Crichton.² He married Helen Gordon, daughter of George Gordon of Newton.¹
     He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Leslie, of Wardis, co. Aberdeen [N.S., 1625] in 1645, de jure, though he neither assumed the title (which on his death became dormant till 1800) nor inherited the estates.¹ He had four sons (died without issue) and three daughters.¹

     George Gordon of Newton died, without issue.¹

     Helen Gordon is the daughter of George Gordon of Newton.² She married Sir William Leslie, 3rd Bt., son of John Leslie, 5th of Wardis and Jane Crichton.¹
     Her married name became Leslie.

     Norman Leslie is the son of John Leslie, 5th of Wardis and Jane Crichton.² He married Marjory Leith, daughter of John Leith of Harthill.¹
