     Hon. Douglas Leighton Seager was born on 24 November 1925.¹ He was the son of George Leighton Seager, 1st Baron Leighton of Saint Mellons and Marjorie Gimson.² He married Gillian Claire Greenwood, daughter of Leonard Warwick Greenwood, on 3 December 1960.¹ He died on 14 July 2015 at age 89.³
     He was educated at Leys School, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England.¹ He fought in the Second World War.¹ He gained the rank of Captain in the South Wales Borderers.¹ He was partner of Georgia Shipping Ltd, and managing director Sir William Seager and Sons and Leighton Investments Ltd, and director of Heaton Developments Ltd.¹ He lived in 2003 at Leighton House, 5929 Hudson, Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada^G.¹

     Leonard Warwick Greenwood lived at Astley, Worcestershire, England.¹

     Gillian Claire Greenwood is the daughter of Leonard Warwick Greenwood.² She married Hon. Douglas Leighton Seager, son of George Leighton Seager, 1st Baron Leighton of Saint Mellons and Marjorie Gimson, on 3 December 1960.¹
     From 3 December 1960, her married name became Seager.

     Nicola Claire Leighton Seager was born on 25 November 1961.¹ She is the daughter of Hon. Douglas Leighton Seager and Gillian Claire Greenwood.² She married Jonathan Turton.³
