Arthur Lambert was born circa 1827.2 He was the son of Admiral Sir George Robert Lambert and Katharine Cobb.3 He married Louisa Bazilia Bishop, daughter of John Bishop and Caroline Gordon, on 26 July 1853 at Cape Province, South Africa.1,2 He died on 22 March 1860 at London, England, without issue.1,2
He retired from the military on 7 May 1856, with the rank of Captain, late of the Bengal Artillery.1
