     Captain William Petre was born on 12 October 1888.¹ He was the son of Sebastian Henry Petre and Elise Sibeth.¹ He married Margaret Gwladys Bruce, daughter of Archibald Dacres Bruce, on 4 June 1925.¹ He died on 3 August 1955 at age 66.¹
     He gained the rank of Captain in the Royal Army Service Corps.¹ He fought in the First World War, where he was mentioned in despatches.¹ He gained the rank of Flight Commander in the Royal Air Force.¹ He was appointed Fellow, Land Agents’ Society (F.L.A.S.)¹

     Margaret Gwladys Bruce was born in 1902.² She was the daughter of Archibald Dacres Bruce.¹ She married Captain William Petre, son of Sebastian Henry Petre and Elise Sibeth, on 4 June 1925.¹ She died in 1982.²
     Her married name became Petre.

     Ann Mary Margaret Petre was born on 27 March 1926.² She is the daughter of Captain William Petre and Margaret Gwladys Bruce.¹ She married John Edward Turner Hales-Tooke, son of John Baseley Hales-Tooke, on 15 November 1955.¹
     She graduated from Somerville College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, in 1947 with a Master of Arts (M.A.)³ Her married name became Hales-Tooke. She wrote the book Children in Hospital.¹ She wrote the book The Children of Skylark Ward.¹ She graduated in 1977 with a Post Graduate Certificate in Education (P.G.C.E.)³ She lived in 2003 at 8 Priory Road, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England.¹

     John Edward Turner Hales-Tooke was the son of John Baseley Hales-Tooke.¹ He married Ann Mary Margaret Petre, daughter of Captain William Petre and Margaret Gwladys Bruce, on 15 November 1955.¹ He died on 27 February 1992.¹

     John Baseley Hales-Tooke died before 1963.
     He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.)¹ He lived at Cathedral Close, Norwich, Norfolk, England^G.¹

     Jonathan Petre Turner Hales-Tooke was born on 29 June 1957.¹ He is the son of John Edward Turner Hales-Tooke and Ann Mary Margaret Petre.¹ He married Breda Flaherty in 1994.¹

     Hugh Benedict Milton Hales-Tooke was born on 20 April 1959.¹ He is the son of John Edward Turner Hales-Tooke and Ann Mary Margaret Petre.¹

     Mary Elise Petre was born on 28 May 1929.¹ She was the daughter of Captain William Petre and Margaret Gwladys Bruce.¹ She married Leonard Norman Pardoe, son of W. A. L. Pardoe, in July 1951.¹ She died on 1 March 2007 at age 77.²
     Her married name became Pardoe. She lived in 2003 at 7 Hereford Square, London, England.¹
