     Susan Mary Lacy was born on 17 September 1936.1 She was the daughter of Sir Maurice John Pierce Lacy, 2nd Bt. and Barbara Primrose Russell-Roberts.2 She married, firstly, Michael John Gemmell, son of George Gemmell, on 6 June 1961.1 She married, secondly, Philip Waring Darwin, son of William Robert Darwin and Sarah Monica Slingsby, on 3 October 1997.1 She died on 27 May 1998 at age 61.1
     From 6 June 1961, her married name became Gemmell. From 3 October 1997, her married name became Darwin.1
