Sir Thomas Kirkpatrick of Closeburn, 5th Bt.1

     Sir Thomas Kirkpatrick of Closeburn, 5th Bt. was born in 1777.2 He was the son of Sir James Kirkpatrick of Closeburn, 4th Bt. and unknown daughter Jardine.2 He married Jane Kirkpatrick Sharpe, daughter of Charles Kirkpatrick Sharpe and Eleanora Renton, on 7 June 1804.2 He died in 1844.2
     He was a practising Advocate on 23 June 1798.2 He succeeded as the 5th Baronet Kirkpatrick, of Closeburn [N.S., 1685] on 7 June 1804.2

     James Kirkpatrick was born in 1820.1 He was the son of Roger Kirkpatrick and Lilias Anderson.2 He married Margaret Jane Proctor, daughter of Captain William Proctor, in 1854.1 He died in 1890.1
     He graduated with a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.)1 He was Deputy Surgeon-General.1

     He was educated at Edinburgh Academy, Edinburgh, Midlothian, ScotlandG.1 He was educated at Edinburgh University, Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland.1 He was a practising Writer to the Signet (W.S.) in 1933.1 He gained the rank of Group Captain in the Auxiliary Air Force.1
