     Margaret Canning was the daughter of George Canning.¹ She married Sir George Kinloch, 1st Bt., son of George Kinloch and Helen Smyth, on 21 October 1845.¹ She died on 15 February 1908.¹
     From 21 October 1845, her married name became Kinloch.

     Sir John George Smyth Kinloch of Kinloch, 2nd Bt. was born on 8 January 1849.¹ He was the son of Sir George Kinloch, 1st Bt. and Margaret Canning.² He married Jessie Montgomerie Lumsden, daughter of George Lumsden, on 8 January 1878.¹ He died on 20 May 1910 at age 61.²
     He graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)¹ He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Kinloch, of Kinloch [U.K., 1873] on 17 June 1881.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Perthshire between 1889 and 1908.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Forfarshire.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Perthshire.¹ He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Perthshire.¹
