William Kendall Burnett was born on 6 February 1854.1 He was the son of Alexander George Burnett, 6th of Kemnay and Letitia Amelia Kendall.2 He married, firstly, Margretta Mary Carson, daughter of J. C. I. Carson, on 14 June 1883.1 He married, secondly, Florence Hargreaves in 1907.1 He died in July 1912 at age 58.1
He graduated with a Master of Arts (M.A.)1 He was a practising advocate at Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire, Scotland.1
