He graduated from Christ Church, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, with a Master of Arts (M.A.)1 He was tutor and later Aide-de-Camp to The Prince of Orange.1 He fought in the Napleonic Wars, including Ciudad Rodrigo, Badajoz, Salamanca, Vittoria and Pyrenees.1 He was awarded the Knight, Royal Military Order of William of The Netherlands.1 He gained the rank of Officer in the 31st Regiment.1 He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Johnson, of Bath [U.K., 1818] on 18 March 1835.1
