He was educated at St. Xavier’s School, Bombay, India.1 He graduated from St. John’s College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, in 1900 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)1 He was member of the Bombay Corporation between 1904 and 1921.1 He was chairman of Cowasjee Jehanjir and Company.1 He was President of Parsi Punchayet.1 He was non-official member of the Legislative Council [Bombay] between 1917 and 1918.1 He was President of the Bombay Municipal Corporation between 1919 and 1920.1 He was acting member of the Bombay Government in charge of the Revenue Department between 1921 and 1922.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) [Bombay]1 He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of the Indian Empire (K.C.I.E.) in 1927.1 He held the office of Member of the Legislative Council (M.L.A.) [Bombay] between 1930 and 1947.1 He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Jehangir, of Malabar Hill, Bombay [U.K., 1908] on 27 July 1934.1 He was appointed Knight Grand Cross, Order of the British Empire (G.B.E.) in 1944.1
