[Bombay]1 He was appointed Knight Bachelor in 1895.1 He was created 1st Baronet Jehangir, of Malabar Hill, Bombay [U.K.] on 16 July 1908.1 He was a delegate of the Parsee Matrimonial Court.1 He was a mill owner, Bombay landowner, and philanthropist.1 He was a senior member of the Parsi-Panchayel.1 He was a banker to the Honourable East India Company.1 On 22 September 1911 the Supreme Legislative Council ordained that his successors assume the name of the 1st Baronet.1
