     Major John Jauncey was born in 1767.¹ He was the son of Reverend Fyge Jauncey and Helen White.² He married Jane Knight, daughter of Admiral Sir John Knight.¹ He died in 1796.¹
     He was educated at Charterhouse School, Godalming, Surrey, England, Charterhouse.¹ He gained the rank of Captain in the 69th Foot.¹ He fought in the Walcheren Expedition.¹ He gained the rank of Major in the 10th Foot.¹ He fought in the Peninsular Wars.¹

     Admiral Sir John Knight was born before 21 February 1749 at Dundee, Angus, Scotland.² He was the son of Rear-Admiral John Knight and Jean Hay.² He married Love Pickman Oliver, daughter of Peter Frye.² He married Prudence Reynolds on 17 February 1778 at America.² He died on 16 June 1831 at Woodend, Soberton, Hampshire, England.²

     Jane Knight is the daughter of Admiral Sir John Knight.² She married, firstly, Major John Jauncey, son of Reverend Fyge Jauncey and Helen White.¹ She married, secondly, Rear-Admiral Alexander Shippard.¹

     Eva Dawson was born after 1862 at Montreal, Quebec, Canada^G.¹ She married Hope Tweedale Atkin, son of George Atkin and Emily Tweedale, on 7 June 1890 at Montreal, Quebec, Canada^G.¹ She died in 1915 at Holyhead, Anglesey, Wales^G.¹
     From 7 June 1890, her married name became Atkin.¹

     Sylvia Lois Dawson Atkin was born on 13 April 1891 at Birkenhead, Cheshire, England^G.¹ She was the daughter of Hope Tweedale Atkin and Eva Dawson.¹ She married William Gordon Hardman Binney in 1918 at Birkenhead, Cheshire, England^G.¹ She died on 3 September 1968 at age 77 at Heswall, Cheshire, England^G.¹
