     Neil McLeod Innes of Thursater was born on 17 November 1903.¹ He was the son of Arthur Donald Innes and Helen Pittis.² He married Nancy Audrey Stephens, daughter of James Temple Stephens, on 26 August 1931.¹ He died in 1989.¹
     He was educated at Royal Naval College, Osborne, Isle of Wight, England^G.¹ He was educated at Royal Naval College, Osborne, Isle of Wight, England^G.¹ He graduated from Trinity Hall, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, with a Cambridge Master of Arts (M.A.)¹ He was educated at Haileybury College, Haileybury, Hertfordshire, England^G.¹ He was with the Sudan Political Service between 1926 and 1952.¹ He was awarded the Order of the Nile in 1941.¹ He was recognised by Lord Lyon King of Arms, and matriculated his arms at the Lyons Court on 5 April 1948.¹ He was Minister of External Affairs to the Sultan of Muscat and Oman between 1953 and 1958.¹

     James Temple Stephens lived at Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.¹

     Nancy Audrey Stephens was the daughter of James Temple Stephens.² She married Neil McLeod Innes of Thursater, son of Arthur Donald Innes and Helen Pittis, on 26 August 1931.¹ She died in 1987.¹
     From 26 August 1931, her married name became Innes.

     Roderick Temple McLeod Innes was born on 14 January 1938.¹ He was the son of Neil McLeod Innes of Thursater and Nancy Audrey Stephens.² He married Diana Selkirk Drew, daughter of Eric Summers Drew, on 22 September 1962.¹ He died on 14 November 2018 at age 80.³
     He was educated at Marlborough College, Marlborough, Wiltshire, England^G.¹ He gained the rank of officer in 1954 in the Royal Navy.¹ He was educated at Royal Naval College, Dartmouth, Devon, England^G.¹ He was registered as a Chartered Surveyor between 1969 and 1998. He was appointed Fellow, Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (F.R.I.C.S.)¹ He lived in 2003 at Rose Cottage, Upper Swanmore, Hampshire, England^G.¹

     Eric Summers Drew lived at Alverstoke, Hampshire, England.¹

     Diana Selkirk Drew was the daughter of Eric Summers Drew.² She married Roderick Temple McLeod Innes, son of Neil McLeod Innes of Thursater and Nancy Audrey Stephens, on 22 September 1962.¹ She died on 2 July 2008.³
     From 22 September 1962, her married name became Innes.
