     Lt.-Col. Robert Hope was born in June 1763.1 He was the son of Robert Hope and Maria Christian.2 He married Elizabeth Stanwix Johnson, daughter of John Johnson, on 19 March 1785.1 He died on 26 June 1805.1
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Royal Artillery, attached to the army of Grand Vizier Egypt.1

     Robert Wallis Hope was born on 11 March 1787.1 He was the son of Lt.-Col. Robert Hope and Elizabeth Stanwix Johnson.2 He married, thirdly, Eliza Smith, daughter of H. G. Smith.1 He married, firstly, Caroline Nicholls on 23 August 1812 at Morden, Surrey, England.1,3 He married, secondly, Margery Squires on 8 October 1823 at St. Giles, Camberwell, Surrey, England.1,3 He died on 9 May 1871 at age 84 at Brighton, Sussex, England.1,3
     He was Deputy Surveyor-General of Ordnance.1

     Robert Wallis Hope was born in 1841.1 He was the son of Robert Valentine Hope.3 He married Eliza Clara Werry, daughter of Francis Howe Stephen Werry and Jeanette Reddish, on 27 November 1869 at Church of St. Paul, Valetta, Malta.2 He died in 1874.1
