     Sir Evelyn John Webb-Carter was born on 30 January 1946.² He is the son of Brigadier Brian Wolseley Webb-Carter and Evelyn Rosemary Jane Hood.³ He married Hon. Anne Celia Wigram, daughter of George Neville Clive Wigram, 2nd Baron Wigram and Margaret Helen Thorne, on 20 January 1973.³
