     Sir James Christopher Medlycott, 8th Bt. was born on 17 April 1907.¹ He was the son of Sir Hubert Mervyn Medlycott, 7th Bt. and Nellie Adah Monro.² He died in 1986, unmarried.¹
     He was educated at Harrow School, Harrow, London, England^G.¹ He graduated from Magdalene College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England^G, in 1930 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)¹ He succeeded as the 8th Baronet Medlycott, of Ven House, Somerset [U.K., 1808] on 2 September 1964.¹

     Thomas Anthony Hutchings Medlycott was born on 17 August 1909.¹ He was the son of Sir Hubert Mervyn Medlycott, 7th Bt. and Nellie Adah Monro.² He married Cecilia Mary Eden, daughter of Major Cecil Harold Eden, on 25 June 1938.¹ He died on 29 May 1970 at age 60, following a climbing accident in North Wales.¹
     Thomas Anthony Hutchings Medlycott usually went by his middle name of Anthony.¹ He was educated at Harrow School, Harrow, London, England^G.¹ He was appointed Fellow, Royal Institute of British Architects (F.R.I.B.A.)¹

     Major Cecil Harold Eden lived at Tregonwell Lodge, Cranborne, Dorset, England^G.¹

     Cecilia Mary Eden was the daughter of Major Cecil Harold Eden.² She married Thomas Anthony Hutchings Medlycott, son of Sir Hubert Mervyn Medlycott, 7th Bt. and Nellie Adah Monro, on 25 June 1938.¹ She died on 4 September 2002.¹
     From 25 June 1938, her married name became Medlycott.

     Sir Mervyn Tregonwell Medlycott, 9th Bt. was born on 20 February 1947.² He was the son of Thomas Anthony Hutchings Medlycott and Cecilia Mary Eden.² He died on 22 June 2021 at age 74 at The Manor House, Sandford Orcas, Dorset, England^G.³
     He was educated at Milton Abbey School, Milton Abbas, Dorset, England^G.² He succeeded as the 9th Baronet Medlycott, of Ven House, Somerset [U.K., 1808] on 29 May 1970.¹ He was president of the Somerset and Dorset Family History Society in 1986.² He was appointed Fellow, Society of Genealogists (F.S.G.)² He lived in 2003 at The Manor House, Sandford Orcas, Dorset, England^G.² On his death, his baronetcy became extinct.³

     Julia Elizabeth Medlycott was born on 22 March 1939.¹ She is the daughter of Thomas Anthony Hutchings Medlycott and Cecilia Mary Eden.² She married Michael John Bazeley Smith on 19 April 1965.¹ She and Michael John Bazeley Smith were divorced in 1986.¹
     From 19 April 1965, her married name became Smith. She lived in 2003 at Edmondsham House, Edmondsham, Dorset, England^G.¹

     Michael John Bazeley Smith married Julia Elizabeth Medlycott, daughter of Thomas Anthony Hutchings Medlycott and Cecilia Mary Eden, on 19 April 1965.¹ He and Julia Elizabeth Medlycott were divorced in 1986.¹

     Timothy John Medlycott Smith was born on 1 May 1966.¹ He is the son of Michael John Bazeley Smith and Julia Elizabeth Medlycott.²

     Philip Anthony Medlycott Smith was born in 1971.¹ He is the son of Michael John Bazeley Smith and Julia Elizabeth Medlycott.²

     Catherine Frances Sarah Smith was born on 9 November 1968.¹ She is the daughter of Michael John Bazeley Smith and Julia Elizabeth Medlycott.²
