     John Williams Harris was born on 21 February 1849 at Soply, Hampshire, England.^1,2 He was the son of Admiral Hon. Sir Edward Alfred John Harris and Emma Wylly Chambers.¹ He married Amelia Frances Wardlaw Cumming, daughter of Lt.-Col. Henry Wedderburn Cumming and Emma Georgiana Christina Clay, on 31 July 1880.¹ He died on 17 February 1932 at age 82, without issue.¹
     He was a practising barrister.¹ He was with the Bengal Civil Service between 1869 and 1878.¹ He was Consul to Denmark between 1880 and 1887.¹ He was Consul to Tuscany between 1887 and 1888.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Hampshire.¹

     Amelia Frances Wardlaw Cumming was the daughter of Lt.-Col. Henry Wedderburn Cumming and Emma Georgiana Christina Clay.^1,2 She married John Williams Harris, son of Admiral Hon. Sir Edward Alfred John Harris and Emma Wylly Chambers, on 31 July 1880.¹ She died on 9 May 1926.¹
     From 31 July 1880, her married name became Harris.¹

     Sofia Elizabeth Anne de Putron was born on 30 April 2008.¹ She is the daughter of Peter Nicholas de Putron and Hayley Salmon.¹

     Dame Mary Howarth Arden was born on 23 January 1947.² She is the daughter of Lt.-Col. Eric Cuthbert Arden and Mary Margaret Smith.² She married Jonathan Hugh Mance, Baron Mance, son of Sir Henry Stenhouse Mance and Joan Erica Baker, on 26 May 1973.²
     She was educated at Huyton College, Blacklow Brow, Huyton, Liverpool, Lancashire, England^G.² She graduated from Girton College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England^G, with a Master of Arts (M.A.)² She graduated from Girton College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England^G, with a Master of Laws (LL.M.)² She graduated from Harvard Law School, Harvard University, Cambridge, Massachusetts, U.S.A.^G, with a Master of Laws (LL.M.)² She was admitted to Gray’s Inn in 1971 entitled to practise as a barrister.² From 26 May 1973, her married name became Mance.² She was appointed Queen’s Counsel (Q.C.) in 1986.² She was Assistant Recorder, Crown and County Courts between 1990 and 1993.² She held the office of Deputy High Court Judge between 1990 and 1993.² She held the office of Attorney-General, Duchy of Lancaster between 1991 and 1993.² She was appointed Dame Commander, Order of the British Empire (D.B.E.) in 1993.¹ She held the office of Bencher of Lincoln’s Inn in 1993.² She held the office of High Court Judge, Chancery between 1993 and 2000.² She graduated from Liverpool University, Liverpool, Lancashire, England^G, in 1998 with a Doctor of Law (LL.D.)² She was awarded the honorary degree of Doctor of Law (LL.D.) by Warwick University, Warwick, Warwickshire, England^G, in 1999.² She was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.) in 2000.¹ She held the office of Lord Justice of Appeal in 2000.²

     Hon. Henry Mance was born in 1982.¹ He is the son of Jonathan Hugh Mance, Baron Mance and Dame Mary Howarth Arden.¹

     Hon. Abigail Mance was born in 1976.¹ She is the daughter of Jonathan Hugh Mance, Baron Mance and Dame Mary Howarth Arden.¹

     Hon. Jessica Mance was born in 1978.¹ She is the daughter of Jonathan Hugh Mance, Baron Mance and Dame Mary Howarth Arden.¹

     Sir Henry Stenhouse Mance married Joan Erica Baker.¹ He died in 1981.¹
