     James West was born circa 1669.2 He was the son of Thomas West and Mary Bradshaw.1 He married Elizabeth Pollard, daughter of Reverend Thomas Pollard, on 27 July 1703 at St. Peter’s, Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland.2 He died in 1726.1
     He gained the rank of Cornet.2
