     Louis de Luze Simonds was born on 20 May 1852 at New York, U.S.A.^1,2 He was the son of Frederick William Simonds and Sophie Elizabeth de Luze.² He married Mary Elizabeth Turnbull, daughter of Gavin Ainslie Turnbull and Mary Isabella Myers, in 1880.¹ He died on 2 December 1916 at age 64 at Audleys Wood, Basingstoke, Hampshire, England.^1,2

     Mary Elizabeth Turnbull was born on 17 October 1857 at Bangalore, India.² She was the daughter of Gavin Ainslie Turnbull and Mary Isabella Myers.^1,2 She married Louis de Luze Simonds, son of Frederick William Simonds and Sophie Elizabeth de Luze, in 1880.¹ She died on 23 July 1930 at age 72 at Audleys Wood, Basingstoke, Hampshire, England.^1,2
     From 1880, her married name became Simonds.¹

     Gavin Ainslie Turnbull was born on 6 November 1826 at Hummerjpore, Bengal, India.² He was the son of Gavin Turnbull and Isabella Jane Fenwick.^3,2 He was baptised on 20 January 1827 at Hummeripore, Bengal, India.³ He married Mary Isabella Myers, daughter of John Powell Myers and Mary Anna Duncan, on 14 December 1856 at Madras, India.² He died on 22 March 1876 at age 49 at Clevedon, Somerset, England.² He was also reported to have died on 18 March 1876.³
     He held the office of Surgeon-General.¹ On 3 May 1860 John McDougall Stuart named Mount Turnbull in central Australia after him.²

     Frederick Adolphus Simonds was born on 2 January 1881.¹ He was the son of Louis de Luze Simonds and Mary Elizabeth Turnbull.¹ He married Amy Fitzgerald Hill, daughter of John Sheriff Hill and Amy Fitzgerald, in 1909.¹ He died on 17 August 1953 at age 72.¹
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England^G.¹ He was educated at Magdalen College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G.¹ He fought in the Boer War between 1900 and 1901.¹ He gained the rank of officer in the Service Battalion, 1st V. B. Royal Berkshire Regiment.¹ He was chairman and managing director of H. & G. Simonds, brewers.¹ He held the office of High Sheriff of Berkshire.¹

     Amy Fitzgerald Hill was born in 1883.² She was the daughter of John Sheriff Hill and Amy Fitzgerald.^1,2 She married Frederick Adolphus Simonds, son of Louis de Luze Simonds and Mary Elizabeth Turnbull, in 1909.¹ She died on 31 March 1969 at Swallowfield, Berkshire, England.¹
     She was appointed Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.)¹ From 1909, her married name became Simonds.¹

     John Sheriff Hill was born on 13 August 1836 at Islington, London, England.² He was the son of John Hill and Elizabeth Duke.² He married Amy Fitzgerald, daughter of Major Charles Mordaunt Fitzgerald and Mary Swayne.² He married, firstly, Julia Skipper on 4 May 1861.² He died on 17 January 1897 at age 60.²
     He lived at St. Albans, Hertfordshire, England^G.¹

     Louis Adolphus Simonds was born in 1910.² He was the son of Frederick Adolphus Simonds and Amy Fitzgerald Hill.¹ He married, firstly, Rosemary Avril Lang, daughter of Colonel Ewan Montgomery Lang and Mary Flora Gregory, on 30 April 1935.² He married, secondly, Iris Nannette Micklem on 15 May 1945 at Hardwick, Buckinghamshire, England.² He died on 17 June 1947 at The Tithe Barn, Newnham, Hampshire, England, in a shooting accident.²

     Eric Duncan Simonds was born on 1 June 1917.² He was the son of Frederick Adolphus Simonds and Amy Fitzgerald Hill.¹ He married Clarinda Monica Stevens, daughter of Arthur Harold Stevens, on 3 May 1947.² He died on 18 August 2002 at age 85.²

     Major John de Luze Simonds was born on 7 May 1884.¹ He was the son of Louis de Luze Simonds and Mary Elizabeth Turnbull.¹ He died on 22 April 1917 at age 32 at Mazingarbe, France, killed in action by German shelling.^1,2
     Between February 1910 and March 1910 he conducted a survey of Hainan Island, Southern China.² He fought in the First World War.¹ He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.)² He gained the rank of Major in the Royal Garrison Artillery.^1,2
