     John Bosworth Martin was born on 19 February 1887.¹ He was the son of Reverend John Martin and Sophia Constance Bosworth.¹ He married Ethel Mary Booker Cope, daughter of Sir Thomas Cope, 1st Bt., on 4 October 1911.¹ He died on 8 October 1958 at age 71.¹
     He was educated at Harrow School, Harrow, London, England^G.¹ He graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England^G, with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)¹ He fought in the First World War.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Leicestershire Regiment.¹

     Ethel Mary Booker Cope was the daughter of Sir Thomas Cope, 1st Bt.¹ She married John Bosworth Martin, son of Reverend John Martin and Sophia Constance Bosworth, on 4 October 1911.¹ She died on 24 December 1969.¹
     From 4 October 1911, her married name became Martin.¹

     Sir Thomas Cope, 1st Bt. gained the title of 1st Baronet Cope, of Osbaston Hall, co. Leicester.

     W/Cdr. John Martin was born on 6 September 1914.¹ He was the son of John Bosworth Martin and Ethel Mary Booker Cope.¹ He married Margaret Lindsay Tillotson, daughter of James Lever Tillotson, on 4 February 1940.¹ He died on 2 March 1962 at age 47.¹
     He was educated at Harrow School, Harrow, London, England^G.¹ He was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross (D.F.C.) in 1943.¹ He fought in the Second World War.¹ He retired from the military, with the rank of Wing Commander, late of the Royal Air Force.¹

     Margaret Lindsay Tillotson is the daughter of James Lever Tillotson.¹ She married W/Cdr. John Martin, son of John Bosworth Martin and Ethel Mary Booker Cope, on 4 February 1940.¹
     From 4 February 1940, her married name became Martin.¹ She lived in 1972 at Cliff, Rathfarnham, County Dublin, Ireland^G.¹

     James Lever Tillotson lived at Eyarth House, Ruthven, Scotland^G.¹

     John Stirling Martin was born on 27 December 1943.¹ He is the son of W/Cdr. John Martin and Margaret Lindsay Tillotson.¹
     He graduated from Trinity College, Dublin University, Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland^G, with a Bachelor of Medicine (M.B.)¹ He was educated at St. Columba’s College, Rathfarnham, County Dublin, Ireland^G.¹ He graduated from Trinity College, Dublin University, Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland^G, with a Master of Arts (M.A.)¹

     Theresa Diana Martin was born on 15 July 1945.¹ She is the daughter of W/Cdr. John Martin and Margaret Lindsay Tillotson.¹

     Margaret Patience Martin was born on 24 May 1952.¹ She is the daughter of W/Cdr. John Martin and Margaret Lindsay Tillotson.¹

     Elizabeth June Martin was born on 7 June 1955.¹ She is the daughter of W/Cdr. John Martin and Margaret Lindsay Tillotson.¹
