Enid Margot Bendir was born on 27 October 1907 at Marylebone, London, England.1 She was the daughter of Arthur Gustav Bendir and Marguerite Ernestine Louise Erskine.1 She married, firstly, David Plunket Greene, son of Henry Plunket Greene and Gwendolen Parry, in 1926.3 She married, secondly, Count Anthony Herbert de Bosdari in 1929, although this marriage was not recognised by the British courts.4 She and Count Anthony Herbert de Bosdari were divorced in 1934.4 She married, thirdly, Lothar Mendes before 1941.4 She died on 4 November 1987 at age 80 at Penzance, Cornwall, England.4
Enid Margot Bendir also went by the nick-name of Babe.4 She was also known as Marguerite McGusty.3 From 1926, her married name became Plunket Greene. From 1929, her married name became de Bosdari. From before 1941, her married name became Mendes.4 Her married name became Martindale.4

He was prominent among ‘Bright Young People’ of the 1920s, and a close friend of Evelyn Waugh. He was said to be model for ‘Hon Agatha Runcible’ in his novel Vile Bodies.1
