     Colonel Herbert Charles Rube Gillman was born on 22 January 1912.¹ He was the son of General Sir Webb Gillman and Caroline Grace Elizabeth Rube.² He married Catherine Stuart Holmes, daughter of Lt.-Col. Mathew Holmes, on 5 September 1939.¹ He died on 3 October 1970 at age 58.¹

     John Charles Webb Gillman was born on 11 June 1948.¹ He is the son of Colonel Herbert Charles Rube Gillman and Catherine Stuart Holmes.² He married Meriel Anne Pearson, daughter of Charles Pearson, on 28 August 1970.¹
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England^G.¹ He was educated at Royal Military Academy, Sandhurst, Berkshire, England^G.¹ He graduated from Royal Military College of Science, Shrivenham, Wiltshire, England^G, in 1973 with a Bachelor of Science Engineering (B.Sc.Eng.)¹ He gained the rank of Captain in 1974 in the 15th/19th King’s Royal Hussars.¹ He lived in 1976 at Rose Cottage, Beeston, King’s Lynn, Norfolk, England^G.¹
