Colonel Edward Lyster Gibbon was born on 7 July 1921 at Marylebone, London, England.1,2 He was the son of Colonel Edward Acton Gibbon and Dorothea Mary Cooper.3 He married Joan Margaret Youings, daughter of A. L. J. Youings, on 30 December 1948.1 He died on 16 February 2015 at age 93 at King’s Farmhouse, Nether Wallop, Hampshire, England.2
Colonel Edward Lyster Gibbon also went by the nick-name of Tinker.1 He was educated at Wellington College, Crowthorne, Berkshire, EnglandG.1 He fought in the Second World War.1 He retired from the military, with the rank of Colonel, late of the Royal Irish Fusiliers.1 He lived in 1976 at King’s Farm House, Over Wallop, Stockbridge, Hampshire, EnglandG.1
