     Charlotte Valerie Hobson usually went by her middle name of Valerie.³ From 3 April 1965, her married name became Gibbon.

     John Gibbon was born in 1736/37.¹ He was the son of John Gibbons and Mary Lloyd.¹ He married Mary Whitten, daughter of Edward Whitten, on 8 August 1768.¹ He died on 12 January 1819, with other issue.¹
     He gained the rank of Captain in the a Corps of Yeomanry.¹ He lived at Coldross, County Wicklow, Ireland^G.¹

     Reverend William Holroyd is the son of John Holroyd and Sarah Elwood.^1,2 He married Mary Lloyd.¹
     He was biographer and literary executor of Edward Gibbon.¹ He graduated from Trinity College, Dublin University, Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland, in 1737 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)² He graduated from Trinity College, Dublin University, Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland, in 1740 with a Master of Arts (M.A.)²

     Mary Whitten was born circa 1740.¹ She was the daughter of Edward Whitten.¹ She married John Gibbon, son of John Gibbons and Mary Lloyd, on 8 August 1768.¹ She died on 20 January 1820.¹
     From 8 August 1768, her married name became Gibbon.

     Edward Acton Gibbon was born on 31 October 1771.¹ He was the son of John Gibbon and Mary Whitten.² He married Elizabeth Monk, daughter of William Monk, on 29 April 1802.¹ He died on 31 December 1864 at age 93.¹
     He lived at Sandymount, County Dublin, Ireland^G.¹

     William Monk lived at Neston, Cheshire, England^G.¹

     Elizabeth Monk was the daughter of William Monk.² She married Edward Acton Gibbon, son of John Gibbon and Mary Whitten, on 29 April 1802.¹ She died on 24 January 1833.¹
     From 29 April 1802, her married name became Gibbon.

     Reverend William Sandford was born circa 1752.¹ He was the son of Henry Sandford and Hon. Sarah Moore.¹ He married Jane Oliver, daughter of Rt. Hon. Silver Oliver and Isabella Sarah Newman, in 1789.¹ He died on 17 August 1809.¹

     Jane Oliver was born circa 1764.² She was the daughter of Rt. Hon. Silver Oliver and Isabella Sarah Newman.¹ She married Reverend William Sandford, son of Henry Sandford and Hon. Sarah Moore, in 1789.¹
     From 1789, her married name became Sandford.¹

     Rt. Hon. Silver Oliver was born in 1736.² He was the son of Robert Oliver and Jane Katherine Silver.³ He married Isabella Sarah Newman, daughter of Richard Newman, on 4 February 1759.² He died on 21 November 1798.²
     He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Kilmallock in 1757.³ He held the office of High Sheriff of County Limerick in 1764.³ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Limerick in 1768.³ He was appointed Privy Councillor (P.C.) in 1769.³ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Limerick in 1776.³ He lived at Castle Oliver, Kilfinnane, County Limerick, Ireland^G.²
