     He was the Rector at Maynooth, County Kildare, IrelandG.1

     Freeman Wills Crofts was born on 3 July 1816.2 He was the son of Reverend Freeman Wills Crofts and Mary Marten Gorman.2 He married Ellen Freeman, daughter of Joseph Deane Freeman, on 14 December 1851.2 He died on 6 February 1869 at age 52.3
     He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)1 He lived at Clogheen Manor, Buttevant, County Cork, IrelandG.1 He was admitted to Middle Temple entitled to practise as a barrister-at-law.4
