     Traszha Roxanne Macdowall was born on 27 October 1954.¹ She is the daughter of Fergus Day Hort Macdowall, 27th of Garthland and Traszha Ilse Riess.² She married Michael Victor Thornton, son of W/Cdr. Donald Thornton, on 31 December 1983.¹
     She was educated at Confederation High School, Ottawa, Ontario, Canada^G.² She graduated from Carleton University, Ottawa, Ontario, Canada^G, in 1976 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)¹ She graduated from Brooke University, Ontario, Canada^G, in 1977 with a Master of Social Work (M.S.W.)² From 31 December 1983, her married name became Thornton. She was a Psychiatric Social Worker.¹

     W/Cdr. Donald Thornton lived at Ottawa, Ontario, Canada^G.¹ He gained the rank of Wing Commander in the Royal Canadian Air Force.¹

     Michael Victor Thornton is the son of W/Cdr. Donald Thornton.² He married Traszha Roxanne Macdowall, daughter of Fergus Day Hort Macdowall, 27th of Garthland and Traszha Ilse Riess, on 31 December 1983.¹

     Dougal Macdougall, 1st of Garochloyne died in 1308 at Kirrouchtrie, Scotland^G, killed in battle with Edward Bruce.²
     In 1295 he had a charter from his kinsman, King John I Balliol, of the lands of Garochloyne (‘joyful tufted mount’, the ancient designation of the feudal barony of Garthland), Lougan, Elrig, and others on the Rhinns of Galloway.¹ He was appointed Knight in 1307 by King Edward I for the capture at Loch Ryan of Thomas and Alexander.¹

     Dougall Macdougall, 2nd of Garochloyne is the son of Dougal Macdougall, 1st of Garochloyne.²
     He had a charter of the lands of Tuynam in Dumfriesshire.¹ He was also known as Dougall Macdowall.² He held the office of Sheriff of Wigtown in 1361.¹

     Christian Freiherr von Humboldt-Dachroeden was born illegitimately on 27 December 1943 at Breslau, Germany^G.¹ He is the son of Ernst August IV Prinz von Hannover and Maria-Anna Sybilla Margaretha Baronin von Humboldt-Dachroeden.^1,2 He married Marie Freiin von Maltzahn on 25 October 1979 at Wittenberg, Germany^G.¹

     Dougal Macdougall is the son of Dougall Macdougall, 2nd of Garochloyne.² He married Margaret Fraser.¹

     Margaret Fraser married Dougal Macdougall, son of Dougall Macdougall, 2nd of Garochloyne.¹
     She lived at Makerston, Roxburghshire, Scotland^G.¹ Her married name became Macdougall.

     Fergus Macdougall is the son of Dougal Macdougall and Margaret Fraser.²
     He was ancestor of the Macdougalls of Makerston.¹ In 1373 he succeeded his mother on her resignation of the barony of Makerston a regrant of it from King Robert II.¹
