Claude William Hynman Allenby was born on 13 August 1912.¹ He was the son of Captain Frederick Claude Hynman Allenby and Edith Mabel Jaffray.¹ He married, firstly, Sheila Patsey Price, daughter of G. P. Price, on 1 July 1939.¹ He and Sheila Patsey Price were divorced in 1948.¹ He married, secondly, Barbara Marion Hall, daughter of John Hall, on 11 September 1951.¹ He died on 2 December 1975 at age 63.¹
