     He gained the rank of in the 85th King’s Light Infantry Regiment.1 He held the office of Resident Magistrate of County Carlow.1

     Alice Marion Egan was the daughter of James Egan.1 She married, firstly, Arthur Bastable before 1863.1 She married, secondly, John FitzGerald Studdert, son of Thomas Studdert and Alicia Studdert, on 7 March 1863 at St. Peter’s, Dublin, County Dublin, IrelandG.1,2 She died on 18 March 1917.1
     From before 1863, her married name became Bastable.1 From 7 March 1863, her married name became Studdert.

     He was District Inspector with the Royal Irish Constabulary.1
