     He was educated at North Carolina State College, North Carolina, U.S.A.¹ He fought in the Second World War.¹ He was awarded the Legion of Merit with Combat ‘V’ for Okinawa invasion.¹ He was awarded the Bronze Star Medal.¹ He gained the rank of Rear-Admiral in the U.S. Naval Reserve.¹ He was President of Studdert Engineering Inc.¹

     Colonel Henry Churchill Bragaw lived at Washington, North Carolina, U.S.A.¹

     Margaret Hoyt Bragaw was born on 1 May 1904.² She was the daughter of Colonel Henry Churchill Bragaw.³ She married Rear-Admiral William Walton Studdert, son of Hon. George Joseph Studdert and Lyda Carter, on 12 December 1929.¹ She died on 26 October 2006 at age 102.² She was buried at Oakdale Cemetery, Washington, North Carolina, U.S.A., memorial #80801993.²
