     Robin John Alexander Orr Ewing was born on 21 October 1921 at Broad Clyst, Devon, England.^1,2 He was the son of Archibald Orr Ewing and Gladys Ross.³ He married, firstly, Beryl Maureen Bowyer, daughter of James Bowyer, in 1951.¹ He and Beryl Maureen Bowyer were divorced in 1969.¹ He married, secondly, Ann Theresa Parker, daughter of John Parker, on 9 December 1969.¹ He died on 22 March 2008 at age 86.⁴
     He was educated at Pembroke College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England^G.¹ He fought in the Second World War.¹ He gained the rank of Captain in the Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders.¹ He lived in 2003 at 3a Grosvenor Villas, Bath, Somerset, England^G.¹
