     Wager Townley Allix was born on 1 March 1825.¹ He was the son of Charles Allix and Mary Elizabeth Hammond.¹ He married Catherine Elizabeth Tyrwhitt Drake, daughter of Rt. Hon. Thomas Tyrwhitt-Drake and Barbara Caroline Annesley, in December 1862.¹ He died on 18 June 1878 at age 53.¹ His will was proven (by probate) on 10 August 1878.¹

     From 12 August 1954, her married name became de Burgh.¹
