     Captain William O’Bryen Hoare was born on 23 March 1807 at Youghal, County Cork, Ireland.1,2 He was the son of Sir Joseph Wallis Hoare, 3rd Bt. and Harriet O’Brien.3 He married Caroline Hornby, daughter of John Hornby, on 2 May 1834.1 He died on 26 March 1886 at age 79.1
     He gained the rank of Captain in the Royal Navy.1

     From 2 May 1834, her married name became Hoare.

     Reverend James O’Bryen Richard Dott Hoare was born on 12 March 1835.1 He was the son of Joseph James Parish Hoare and Helen Moritz Dillon Hardman.2 He married, firstly, Frances Eleanor Henderson, daughter of Reverend Thomas Henderson, on 23 February 1865.1 He married, secondly, Vera Mary Martell in 1912.1 He died in 1914.1
     He graduated from Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, EnglandG, with a Master of Arts (M.A.)1 He was the Vicar at Papanui, Christchurch, New Zealand.1
