     He was educated at Wrekin College, Wellington, Shropshire, England^G.¹ He gained the rank of Chaplain to the Forces, during the Second World War.² He was the Vicar in 1961 at Bromyard, Herefordshire, England.¹ He held the office of Prebendary of Putson Minore, Herefordshire in 1965.¹ He was the Rector between 1972 and 1978 at Ledbury, Herefordshire, England.¹
