     Sir Carl Douglas Aarvold was born on 7 June 1907 at Hartlepool, County Durham, England.² He married Noeline Etrenne Hill, daughter of Arthur James Hill and Eleanor Beatrice Hindle Duxbury, on 8 July 1934.¹ He died on 17 March 1991 at age 83 at West Humble, Surrey, England.^1,2
     He was educated between 1920 and 1925 at Durham School, Durham, County Durham, England^G.² He graduated from Emmanuel College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, in 1928 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)² He was admitted to Inner Temple in 1932 entitled to practise as a barrister.² He fought in the Second World War.² He gained the rank of Temporary Lieutenant-Colonel in the Royal Artillery.² He was appointed Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.) on 14 June 1945.¹ He was awarded the Territorial Decoration (T.D.) in 1950.¹ He held the office of Recorder of Pontefract between 1951 and 1954.² He held the office of Judge of the Mayor’s and City of London Court between 1954 and 1959.² He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)¹ He held the office of Recorder of London between 1964 and 1975.¹ He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Surrey in 1973.¹

     Christopher Olaf Aarvold was born on 22 September 1943.¹ He is the son of Sir Carl Douglas Aarvold and Noeline Etrenne Hill.² He married Sandi Gazzard in 1981.¹
     He was educated at Marlborough College, Marlborough, Wiltshire, England^G.¹ He lived in 2003 at 49 Kewstoke Road, Stoke Bishop, Bristol, England^G.¹

     Sandi Gazzard married Christopher Olaf Aarvold, son of Sir Carl Douglas Aarvold and Noeline Etrenne Hill, in 1981.¹
