     Michael William Davis Howell was born on 11 June 1947 at Hawkhurst, Kent, England^G.¹ He is the son of Air Vice-Marshal Evelyn Michael Thomas Howell and Helen Joan Hayes.¹

     Ada Russell Howell was born on 12 April 1871 at Simla, India^G.² She was the daughter of Arthur Pearse Howell and Laura Maria Russell.^3,2 She married Frederick Chandos Henniker, son of Reverend Robert Henniker and Jane Livesey Leadbeater, on 3 January 1901.¹ She died on 20 August 1958 at age 87.¹
     From 3 January 1901, her married name became Henniker.
