     Alexander Murray Hay was born on 24 January 1799.1 He was the son of John Hay and Christian Ker.2 He married Eleanor Mylechreest, daughter of Thomas Mylechreest, in May 1842.1 He died on 17 July 1864 at age 65.1
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the 51st Foot King’s Own.1 He lived at Ramsey, Isle of ManG, Ramsay.1
