     He was educated at Hilton College, Natal, South Africa^G.¹ He graduated from Witwatersrand University, Johannesburg, Transvaal, South Africa^G, with a Bachelor of Science (Bac.Sci.)¹ He graduated from Natal University, Natal, South Africa^G, with a Blom.¹ He was registered as a Chartered Accountant (C.A.) [South Africa] in 1987.¹ He was finance manager for Supertrans (transport company) between 1987 and 1991.¹ He was director of Dorfin/Dorbyl Ltd between 1992 and 1996.¹ He was director of Conservation Corporation between 1996 and 2002.¹ He succeeded as the 9th Baronet Hawkins, of Kelston, Somerset [G.B., 1778] on 2 April 1999.² He was director of Meropa Casino and Entertainment in 2002.¹ He lived in 2003 at Craighall, South Africa^G.¹

     Carol Lee Hawkins was born on 13 April 1953.¹ He is the son of Sir Humphrey Villiers Cæsar Hawkins, 7th Bt. and Anita Funkey.²

     Joy Blanche Hawkins is the daughter of Sir Villiers Geoffrey Cæsar Hawkins, 6th Bt. and Marjorie Blanche Hampden-Smithers.² She married, firstly, John Stobart Longworth in 1944.¹ She married, secondly, James Sloane Hume Maxwell in 1977.¹
     From 1944, her married name became Longworth. From 1977, her married name became Maxwell.¹ She lived in 2003 at 35 Ferguson Road, Illovo, Sandton, Johannesburg, Transvaal, South Africa^G.¹

     John Stobart Longworth married Joy Blanche Hawkins, daughter of Sir Villiers Geoffrey Cæsar Hawkins, 6th Bt. and Marjorie Blanche Hampden-Smithers, in 1944.¹
