     He was educated at Cheltenham College, Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, England^G.¹ He fought in the First World War.¹ He gained the rank of Temporary Captain in the Cameron Highlanders.¹

     Brenda Hewitt was the daughter of George Southby Hewitt.¹ She married, firstly, Cecil Francis Henry Littleton, son of Rear-Admiral Hon. Algernon Charles Littleton and Lady Margaret Needham, on 21 October 1913.¹ She married, secondly, Arthur Alexander Baillie on 22 July 1919.¹ She married, thirdly, Alwyne Rory MacNamara Scrase-Dickins, son of Alwynne Frederick Scrase-Dickins, on 18 December 1922.¹ She and Alwyne Rory MacNamara Scrase-Dickins were divorced in 1934.¹ She died in 1972.¹
     From 21 October 1913, her married name became Littleton. From 22 July 1919, her married name became Baillie.¹ From 18 December 1922, her married name became Scrase-Dickins.¹

     Diana Littleton was born on 19 February 1915.¹ She is the daughter of Cecil Francis Henry Littleton and Brenda Hewitt.² She married Stephen Early.¹
     Her married name became Early. She lived in 2003 at 27 Parkside, Cuddesdon, Oxfordshire, England^G.¹
