     Nina Oliver St. John is the daughter of General George Francis William St. John.2 She married, firstly, General John Redmond Hartwell, son of Sydney Charles Elphinstone Hartwell and Jeannette Marion Jenkins, on 28 February 1911.1 She and General John Redmond Hartwell were divorced in 1921.1 She married, secondly, Colonel Denis Jackson Atkinson in 1921.3
     From 28 February 1911, her married name became Hartwell. From 1921, her married name became Atkinson.3

     He gained the rank of 2nd Lieutenant on 28 January 1925.2 He gained the rank of Lieutenant on 28 January 1927.2 He gained the rank of Captain on 1 February 1937.2 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Royal Artillery.1 He fought in the Second World War.1
