     Lt.-Col. Thomas Harris was born on 8 May 1845.1 He was the son of Thomas Inglis Parish Harris and Emily Burnside.2 He married Lilias Annie Cole, daughter of William Turney Cole, on 23 December 1880.1 He died on 28 March 1918 at age 72.1
     He was Military Secretary to the Governor of Bombay between 1892 and 1895.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Middlesex Regiment.1

     Derek Marshall Harris Harris, 7th Baron Harris was born on 23 July 1916.1 He was the son of Major Thomas Guy Marriott Harris and Beryl Wilson.2 He married, firstly, Laura Cecilia McCausland, daughter of Major Edmund Thomas William McCausland, on 16 August 1938.1 He and Laura Cecilia McCausland were divorced in 1968.1 He married, secondly, Pauline Elisabeth (?) in 1987.1 He died on 30 June 1996 at age 79.1
     He gained the rank of Major in the Duke of Wellington’s Regiment.1 He succeeded as the 7th Baron Harris, of Seringapatam and Mysore in the East Indies, and of Belmont, co. Kent [U.K., 1815] on 17 September 1995.1
