     Thomas Arthur Champernowne was born on 2 April 1868.¹ He was the son of Reverend Richard Champernowne and Elizabeth Jane Keble.² He married Gertrude Isabel Douglas, daughter of Admiral Sir Archibald Douglas, on 24 June 1919.¹ He died in 1944, without issue.¹

     Admiral Sir Archibald Douglas was appointed Knight Commander, Order of the Bath (K.C.B.)¹ He was appointed Knight Grand Cross, Royal Victorian Order (G.C.V.O.)¹

     Gertrude Isabel Douglas was the daughter of Admiral Sir Archibald Douglas.² She married, firstly, Commander Cecil Halstead France-Hayhurst, son of Colonel Charles Hosken France-Hayhurst, before 1919.¹ She married, secondly, Thomas Arthur Champernowne, son of Reverend Richard Champernowne and Elizabeth Jane Keble, on 24 June 1919.¹ She died on 29 November 1956.¹
     From before 1919, her married name became France-Hayhurst.¹ From 24 June 1919, her married name became Champernowne.

     Reverend John Edward Champernowne was born on 5 March 1870.¹ He was the son of Reverend Richard Champernowne and Elizabeth Jane Keble.² He married Audrey Eliza Evans, daughter of Joseph Russell Evans and Elizabeth Price Hale, on 30 September 1902.¹ He died on 18 August 1935 at age 65.¹
     He graduated from Keble College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G, with a Master of Arts (M.A.)¹ He was the Vicar between 1909 and 1921 at Modbury, Devon, England^G.¹

     Joseph Russell Evans was born on 4 March 1837 at Melksham, Wiltshire, England^G.² He was the son of Manning Evans.² He married Elizabeth Price Hale, daughter of William Hale and Anne Price, on 22 January 1867 at St. John the Evangelist, Lambeth, Surrey, England^G.² He died between 1878 and 1891.²

     Mary Elizabeth Champernowne was born in 1853 at Devon, England^G.² She was the daughter of Reverend Richard Champernowne and Elizabeth Jane Keble.³ She married Reverend Thomas Woodman on 28 April 1881.¹ She died in 1882.¹
