     Major Gerald Henry Pomeroy Colley was born on 31 March 1870.¹ He was the son of Henry FitzGeorge Pomeroy Colley and Elizabeth Isabella Wingfield.² He married Dorothy Evelyn Addie, daughter of Colonel James Addie, on 20 June 1906.¹ He died on 12 November 1923 at age 53.¹
     He gained the rank of Major in the 3rd Battalion, Royal Irish Regiment.¹ He fought in the Boer War between 1900 and 1902.¹ He was Resident Magistrate, County Tipperary.¹

     Colonel James Addie lived at Calder Park, Lanarkshire, Scotland^G.¹

     Dorothy Evelyn Addie was the daughter of Colonel James Addie.² She married Major Gerald Henry Pomeroy Colley, son of Henry FitzGeorge Pomeroy Colley and Elizabeth Isabella Wingfield, on 20 June 1906.¹ She died on 25 August 1929.¹
     From 20 June 1906, her married name became Pomeroy Colley.

     Patricia Pomeroy Colley was born on 18 March 1907.¹ She was the daughter of Major Gerald Henry Pomeroy Colley and Dorothy Evelyn Addie.² She married Kenneth Hastings Nethersole, son of Harrison Ralph Nethersole and Violet Isabella Hastings, on 25 April 1930.¹ She died in 1992.³
     From 25 April 1930, her married name became Nethersole.

     Harrison Ralph Nethersole was born in 1873 at Eastry, Kent, England.² He was the son of John Nethersole and Mary Hannah Ralph.² He was baptised on 1 April 1873 at St. George’s Church, Eastry, Kent, England.² He married Violet Isabella Hastings, daughter of Maj.-Gen. Francis Eddowes Hastings and Isabella Barbara Hastings, on 7 February 1903 at The Mission Room, Fordsburg, Johannesburg, Transvaal, South Africa.²
     He emigrated to South Africa arriving on 1900.² He was chairman, Chamber of Mines Central Buying Department.² He was appointed Member, Order of the British Empire (M.B.E.) in 1919.²
