     He was educated at Wellington College, Crowthorne, Berkshire, England^G.¹ He was educated at Royal Military Academy, Sandhurst, Berkshire, England^G.¹ He retired from the military, with the rank of Captain, late of the Royal Dragoons.¹ He lived in 2003 at Yew Tree Cottage, Kimbolton, Leominster, Herefordshire, England^G.¹

     Susan Evelyn Christie is the daughter of Brigadier Ian M. Christie.² She married David Graham Hanmer, son of Lt.-Col. Richard Graham Hanmer and Helen Jean Campbell, on 11 December 1968.¹ She and David Graham Hanmer were divorced in 1984.¹
     From 11 December 1968, her married name became Hanmer.

     Piers Christie Graham Hanmer was born on 21 May 1971.¹ He is the son of David Graham Hanmer and Susan Evelyn Christie.²

     Eugenie Claire Hanmer was born on 25 October 1973.¹ She is the daughter of David Graham Hanmer and Susan Evelyn Christie.² She married Charles P. L. Evans Lombe, son of Peter Michael Evans Lombe and Vera Alexandra Boissevain.³

     Rosemary Elizabeth Hanmer was born on 6 January 1905.¹ She is the daughter of Lt.-Col. Lambert Alfred Graham Hanmer and Ethel Elizabeth Lovett.²

     Thomas Walden Hanmer was born on 31 July 1875.¹ He was the son of Rear-Admiral John Graham Job Hanmer and Mary Caroline Aldrich.² He married Ida Whitby-Simpson, daughter of A. Whitby-Simpson, in 1903.¹ He died on 17 July 1949 at age 73.¹
     He was Inspector with the Stock Department Agriculture at Sydney, New South Wales, Australia^G.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)¹

     Ida Whitby-Simpson was the daughter of A. Whitby-Simpson.² She married Thomas Walden Hanmer, son of Rear-Admiral John Graham Job Hanmer and Mary Caroline Aldrich, in 1903.¹ She died on 29 October 1961.¹
     From 1903, her married name became Hanmer.

     John Walden Hanmer was born on 25 July 1915 at Bedcombe, New South Wales, Australia.^1,2 He was the son of Thomas Walden Hanmer and Ida Whitby-Simpson.³ He married Jean Eileen Davies Nixon, daughter of Arthur Archibald Sterling Nixon, in April 1949.¹ He died on 12 April 1996 at age 80 at Albury, New South Wales, Australia.²
     He fought in the Second World War, with the Australian Imperial Forces.¹ He was awarded the Efficiency Decoration (E.D.)¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)¹ He was awarded the Greek Medal in 1979.¹
