     Dr. Percy Frere Grant was born on 6 June 1869.¹ He was the son of Sir Alexander Grant of Dalvey, 10th Bt. and Susan Ferrier.² He married Theodora Gertrude Goodrich, daughter of J. H. Goodrich, in February 1905.¹ He died on 9 May 1909 at age 39.¹
     He graduated from Edinburgh University, Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland^G, with a Bachelor of Medicine (M.B.)¹ He graduated from Edinburgh University, Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland^G, with a Master of Surgery (C.M.)¹ He fought in the Bechuanaland Campaign in 1897.¹ He fought in the Boer War between 1899 and 1902.¹

     J. H. Goodrich is the son of Reverend John Goodrich.²
     He lived at Beaufort West, Cape Province, South Africa^G.¹

     Theodora Gertrude Goodrich was the daughter of J. H. Goodrich.² She married Dr. Percy Frere Grant, son of Sir Alexander Grant of Dalvey, 10th Bt. and Susan Ferrier, in February 1905.¹ She died on 27 September 1938.¹
     From February 1905, her married name became Grant.

     Gerald Anthony Thomson is the son of Gerard Morin Thomson.¹ He married Winifred Anne St. John Grant, daughter of Dr. Percy Frere Grant and Theodora Gertrude Goodrich, in 1930.¹

     Winifred Anne St. John Grant was born in November 1905.¹ She is the daughter of Dr. Percy Frere Grant and Theodora Gertrude Goodrich.² She married Gerald Anthony Thomson, son of Gerard Morin Thomson, in 1930.¹
     She graduated from Cape Town University, Cape Town, Cape Province, South Africa^G, in 1928 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)¹ From 1930, her married name became Thomson.¹ She lived in 2003 at 55 Kings Way, Warner Beach South Coast, Natal, South Africa.¹

     Anthony Grant Thomson was born on 23 March 1931.¹ He is the son of Gerald Anthony Thomson and Winifred Anne St. John Grant.² He married Gale Edith Jackson on 2 May 1965.³

     Christopher William Grant Thomson was born on 3 October 1937.¹ He is the son of Gerald Anthony Thomson and Winifred Anne St. John Grant.²

     Susan Ursula Grant was born in November 1907.¹ She is the daughter of Dr. Percy Frere Grant and Theodora Gertrude Goodrich.² She married Christian Arnold Wahl in January 1930.¹
     From January 1930, her married name became Wahl. She lived in 2003 at 10 Westerford Road, Newlands, Cape Province, South Africa^G.¹

     Christian Arnold Wahl married Susan Ursula Grant, daughter of Dr. Percy Frere Grant and Theodora Gertrude Goodrich, in January 1930.¹ He died on 20 November 1967.¹

     Sir Alfred Hamilton Grant of Dalvey, 12th Bt. was born on 12 June 1872.¹ He was the son of Sir Alexander Grant of Dalvey, 10th Bt. and Susan Ferrier.² He married, firstly, Mabel Bessie Lovett, daughter of Colonel Thomas Heaton Lovett and Cecil Elizabeth Jones, on 28 November 1896.¹ He married, secondly, Margaret Lucia Cochran, daughter of Lieutenant Alexander Cochran, on 12 March 1914.¹ He died on 23 January 1937 at age 64.¹
     Sir Alfred Hamilton Grant of Dalvey, 12th Bt. usually went by his middle name of Hamilton.¹ He graduated from Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G, with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)¹ He was in the Indian Civil Service between 1895 and 1922.¹ He was with the Kabul Mission between 1905 and 1915.¹ He was appointed Companion, Order of the Indian Empire (C.I.E.) in 1908.¹ He was appointed Companion, Order of the Star of India (C.S.I.) in 1915.¹ He was awarded the Order of the Rising Sun of Japan 2nd Class.¹
He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of the Indian Empire (K.C.I.E.) in 1918.¹ In 1919 he negotiated the Peace Treaty with Afghanistan.¹ He fought in the Waziristan Campaign between 1919 and 1920, where he was mentioned in despatches.¹ He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of the Star of India (K.C.S.I.) in 1922.¹ He succeeded as the 12th Baronet Grant, of Dalvey [N.S., 1688] on 11 February 1936.¹
