     Catherine Lydia Mackenzie James was the daughter of Captain John James.² She married Captain Thomas Sherlock Gooch, son of Vice-Admiral Thomas Lewis Gooch and Anne Europa Gardner, on 10 April 1861.¹ She died on 28 December 1914.¹
     From 10 April 1861, her married name became Gooch.

     Major John Sherlock Gooch was born on 13 December 1865.¹ He was the son of Captain Thomas Sherlock Gooch and Catherine Lydia Mackenzie James.² He married, firstly, Ella Cecilia Piercy Drury, daughter of Ward Chipman Drury, on 27 December 1894.¹ He married, secondly, Anne Dorothea Harrison, daughter of Commander Matthew James Harrison and Lucy Caroline Wedgwood, on 26 June 1912.¹ He died on 26 August 1929 at age 63.¹
     He gained the rank of Major in the Royal Garrison Artillery.¹

     Ward Chipman Drury lived at Saint John, New Brunswick, Canada^G.¹

     Ella Cecilia Piercy Drury was the daughter of Ward Chipman Drury.² She married Major John Sherlock Gooch, son of Captain Thomas Sherlock Gooch and Catherine Lydia Mackenzie James, on 27 December 1894.¹ She died on 23 April 1907.¹
     From 27 December 1894, her married name became Gooch.

     Anne Georgina Sherlock Gooch was the daughter of Captain Thomas Sherlock Gooch and Catherine Lydia Mackenzie James.² She married, firstly, Philip Edward Scholfield in 1886.¹ She married, secondly, Francis Edward James, son of Reverend Henry James, on 5 March 1903.¹ She died on 24 November 1911.¹
     From 1886, her married name became Scholfield. From 5 March 1903, her married name became James.¹

     Philip Edward Scholfield married Anne Georgina Sherlock Gooch, daughter of Captain Thomas Sherlock Gooch and Catherine Lydia Mackenzie James, in 1886.¹ He died in 1895.¹
     He lived at Maltby Hall, Yorkshire, England^G.¹

     Katharine Marion Sherlock Gooch was the daughter of Captain Thomas Sherlock Gooch and Catherine Lydia Mackenzie James.² She died on 17 October 1934, unmarried.¹

     Marianne Anna Maria Gooch was the daughter of Sir Thomas Sherlock Gooch, 5th Bt. and Marianne Whittaker.³ She married Andrew Lawson, son of Reverend Marmaduke Lawson and Barbara Isabella Wilkinson, on 1 February 1823.¹ She died on 5 November 1855.¹
     From 1 February 1823, her married name became Lawson.

     Andrew Lawson was born on 3 May 1800.² He was the son of Reverend Marmaduke Lawson and Barbara Isabella Wilkinson.² He married Marianne Anna Maria Gooch, daughter of Sir Thomas Sherlock Gooch, 5th Bt. and Marianne Whittaker, on 1 February 1823.¹ He died on 28 February 1853 at age 52.²
     He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Knaresborough.² He lived at Aldborgh Manor, Yorkshire, England^G.¹
