     He graduated from Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G, with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)¹ He was the Vicar at Thursley, Surrey, England^G.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Suffolk.¹

     Catherine Paine was the daughter of Richard Paine.¹ She married Reverend Francis Harcourt Gooch, son of Reverend William Gooch and Anne Jarrett, on 28 April 1868.¹ She died on 16 September 1925.¹
     From 28 April 1868, her married name became Gooch.

     Richard Francis Knight Gooch was born on 24 September 1872.¹ He was the son of Reverend Francis Harcourt Gooch and Catherine Paine.² He married Gladys Jervis, daughter of John Swynfen St. Vincent Jervis, on 31 July 1918.¹ He died on 29 May 1938 at age 65.¹
     He gained the rank of Captain in the Warwickshire Yeomanry.¹ He was awarded the Order of the Nile.¹ He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.)¹ He was Aide-de-Camp to the Governor of Ceylon.¹ He fought in the First World War, where he was mentioned in despatches.¹

     Margaret Frances Louise Alers-Hankey was born on 26 March 1871.¹ She was the daughter of Walter Childe Alers-Hankey and Caroline Jane Anne Rochfort.¹

     Anne Elizabeth Gooch was the daughter of Reverend Francis Harcourt Gooch and Catherine Paine.² She married Reverend Archdall Malden Hill on 26 April 1894.¹ She died on 8 December 1923.¹
     From 26 April 1894, her married name became Hill.

     Reverend Archdall Malden Hill married Anne Elizabeth Gooch, daughter of Reverend Francis Harcourt Gooch and Catherine Paine, on 26 April 1894.¹
     He graduated with a Master of Arts (M.A.)¹ He held the office of Rural Dean (R.D.) of Hove in 1914.¹
