     He gained the rank of 2nd Lieutenant in the Dorsetshire Regiment.¹ He fought in the First World War.¹

     Sir William Kenrick Gibbons was born on 13 May 1876.¹ He was the son of Sir William Gibbons and Sara Antoinetta Cholmeley.² He married Aileen Margaret Trotter, daughter of George James Elliot Trotter, on 13 July 1915.¹ He died on 26 March 1957 at age 80.¹
     He was Clerk, House of Commons.¹ He was Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.) in 1938.¹ He was appointed Knight Bachelor in 1943.¹

     George James Elliot Trotter lived at the Deanery, Staindrop, Darlington, County Durham, England^G.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)¹

     Aileen Margaret Trotter was the daughter of George James Elliot Trotter.² She married Sir William Kenrick Gibbons, son of Sir William Gibbons and Sara Antoinetta Cholmeley, on 13 July 1915.¹ She died in 1969.¹
     From 13 July 1915, her married name became Gibbons.

     Diana Maynard Gibbons was born in 1916.¹ She is the daughter of Sir William Kenrick Gibbons and Aileen Margaret Trotter.²
     She lived in 2003 at Bernedene, The Green, Letchmore Heath, Watford, Hertfordshire, England^G.¹
