     He was District Commissioner, British East African Civil Service.¹ He fought in the Boer War between 1899 and 1902.¹

     Flora Warner was the daughter of Reverend George Townsend Warner.² She married Noel Monckton, son of Edward Philip Monckton and Christabel Francis, in 1895.¹ She died on 19 May 1918.¹

     Edward Philip Simon Monckton was born on 28 October 1899.¹ He was the son of Noel Monckton and Flora Warner.² He died on 8 September 1936 at age 36.¹

     Cecily Flora Noel Monckton was born on 24 September 1896.¹ She was the daughter of Noel Monckton and Flora Warner.² She married Commander George Evelyn Paget How, son of Major John Herbert How, on 23 December 1922.¹ She and Commander George Evelyn Paget How were divorced in 1940.¹ She died on 25 April 1950 at age 53.¹
     From 23 December 1922, her married name became How. In 1944 her name was legally changed to Monckton-How.¹
